Release Parties

Each major release for the game is accompanied by a release party on the official server to celebrate the developments that have been undertaken. The festivites take place at a custom, hand-crafted region of the map, where big PvE fights take place, as well as other Community activities. Many community members and developers come along for release parties, and anyone can join in by using teleporation commands that are temporarily available for the event. The more players online, the better, as these parties also serve as a useful stress test of the server.

Release parties typically last for a few hours, with the first hour or so live streamed. Activities like Treasure Hunts can last well past the party itself.

Seasonal

Some parts of the year can be more fun than others, so Veloren changes its flavour to join in. After all, why let the real world have all the fun?

So far, this includes restyling aspects of the world, and spawning specialty NPCs that have unique Item drops. For the collectors out there, don't worry - seasonal items are only unique to their event, not the specific year they take place.

April Fools

The cheekiest day of the year.

A 24 hour event on April 1st, where groups of Tricksters dot the map. Knock them down for a chance at getting a Curious Potion or a cozy Cat Capuche.

New seasons are upon the land, bringing along some shiny surprises.

An 8 day event from the March 31st to April 7th (inclusive). Across forests and plains, you'll find Treasure Eggs plodding about. Crack them open for coins, Surprise Eggs, and maybe even a Hare Hat.

The spooky season, full of tricks and treats.

An 8 day event from October 24 to 31 (inclusive), featuring autumn foliage and overgrown pumpkin patches. Across the map you'll find boisterous Bats, troublesome Tricksters, and haunting Harvesters. Pop on a Facegourd, chew on some Honeycorn, and sit back to enjoy a fresh Pumpkin Spice Brew.

To put some spook in the air, the Halloween event also features a specialty soundtrack].

Jolly jingles ring in the air. Wait, was that a Yeti's roar?

An 11 day event from the 20th to 30th of December (inclusive). To get that festive feeling, some Christmas helpers have decorated many of the trees with bright red baubles, and laid a cozy blanket of fresh snow across the map. Pick a snowball fight with the wild Yetis to enjoy their Blue Cheese and Woolly Wintercaps. Just beware of their home field advantage.
