Leather Belt is one of the many craftable armor pieces available in Veloren. It is a direct upgrade to Rawhide Belt, as are all other Leather Armor pieces. It uses a stronger, tougher variant of Simple Leather in the form of Thick Leather.

As with the Rawhide Armor set, the Leather armor set can be acquired by gathering a stronger variant of Simple Leather, called Thick Leather. As it is an upgrade, Thick Leather comes with the caveat of being harder to acquire, being dropped by stronger enemies further from towns.
Should you acquire the necessary Leather though, all that is left is to acquire Leather Strips. If you followed the armor progression so far, you can easily recycle your Rawhide Armor to make Simple Leather, which can be turned into Leather Strips at a Tanning Rack. With both items in hand, all that is left is to find a Crafting Bench, which can be found in most Towns.
The Leather Armor set provides double the defense from its Rawhide equivalent, and if you play your cards right, can be acquired even before the Rawhide Armor set. If one is courageous enough to undertake the task of slaying stronger beasts with lower level armor, they will be rewarded with a great starter armor set that will be useful until Tier 3 Dungeons.
- In game file, this is called the poise resilience. It protects you against four buffs : interrupted, stunned, dazzed and knocked down.
- Increase your max energy bar.
- You gain more energy when hitting enemies with some of your skills. Currently it's the basic attack (left mouse) but it will change later.
- Limit the detection range of hostile NPCs and allow to sneak around. However it won't work if your are in front of the hostile NPCs vision.
