Magic Class

This feature is currently still in the design phase, and has not yet been implemented in Veloren. All information on this page may not be final and subject to change.

The Magic Class is the Intelligence focused class. Each specialization is focused on magic spells, with skills that have supernatural qualities. When this class is chosen, your character gains +3 Intelligence per training level.

Base Skills

Fireball

Main article: Fireball

Choosing Fireball opens up the Strength subtree, and the Warlock and Elementalist specializations become available.

Debuff On Fire
Description Throw a flaming missile at the enemy, dealing damage and setting fire to all enemies on impact.
After choosing this skill, you gain +2 Strength/training level

Influence

Choosing Influence opens up the Intelligence subtree, and the Summoner and Cleric specializations become available.

Specializations

Warlock

The Warlock is one of two classes under the Magic Strength subtree. This class requires the Fireball skill.

Passive
Each time you attack, you heal an amount equal to half of the damage dealt.
Nether Beam

Prerequisites Fireball
Mana Cost 10 (+5/level)
Mana Drain 1/s (+1/level)
Damage 20% per hit (+5%/level)
Description Stand in place and fire a persistent beam of nether energy at the target. Hits once every 0.1s.
Spectral Axe

Prerequisites Whirlwind
Mana Cost 10 (+5/level)
Damage 110% (+10%/level)
Description Summon an axe made of dark energy and throw it at the target.
Fire Nova

Prerequisites Magic Class#Nether Beam or Magic Class#Chain Lightning
Mana Cost 20 (+10/level)
Damage 150% base (+50%/level)
Range 2 blocks (+1/level)
Debuff On Fire
Description Fire explodes from your body, engulfing nearby enemies and knocking them back, dealing damage and setting them on fire.

Elementalist

The Elementalist is one of two classes under the Magic Strength subtree. This class requires the Fireball skill.

Chain Lightning

Damage 200% (+10%/level) first target, 75% (+5%/level) consecutive targets

Description Lighting leaps out from your fingers, ricocheting from one opponent to the next.
Fire Nova

Damage 150% base (+50%/level)
